چکیده
The continuous expansion in the textile industry results high loads of coloured wastewaters that heavily pollute limited freshwater sources. Therefore, a wide array treatment methods has been used to remediate water/wastewater from dyes. One common practice is use plants degrade, absorb, metabolise, and detoxify different types pollutants, including This study employs sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) as phytoremediation model herb remove concentrations (5–25 mg/L) methylene blue (MB) dye synthetic water, taking into account effects MB concentration contact time (up 10 days). showed ability Ocimum basilicum absorb decreased with increase increased time. best removal was 93% when 25 mg/L days. Additionally, it noticed relative growth rate (RGR) herbs adversely influenced by increasing RGR value 2.2 g/day 5 mg/L.

Adsorption of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solutions by Silk Cocoon
This study concerns the performance of cocoons spun by silk worms as a natural adsorbent for removal of Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. To study the adsorption process, the effect of various parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, dye initial concentration, and pH of the solution were investigated. According to the experiments, the kinetic data were best described by ...
متن کاملRemoval of methylene blue from aqueous solutions using modified clay
Introduction: Discharging of industrial colored wastewaters especially into aqueous environments can cause adverse effects on aquatic life due to their toxic natures. In this study, montmorillonite modified by hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (HDTMA-Mt) was used for the adsorption of methylene blue (MB). Materials and Methods: The influence of surfactant loading rate, contact time, pH, adso...
متن کاملRemoval of methylene blue dye by application of polyaniline nano composite from aqueous solutions
This paper deals with application of polyaniline coated on wood sawdust for removal ofmethylene blue (MB) dye from aqueous solutions. Polyaniline coated onto sawdust (termedas PAn/SD) was prepared via direct chemical polymerization onto sawdust which waspreviously soaked in the monomer (aniline) solution in acidic (HC1) media. Adsorptionexperiments were carried out using batch system. The effec...
متن کاملadsorption of methylene blue dye from aqueous solutions by modified pumice stone: kinetics and equilibrium studies
background dyes are one of the most important industrial pollutants, especially in textile industries. many methods have been proposed in order to remove color from wastewater among which, adsorption is more acceptable due to the ability for its use in the large scale. objectives the objective of this study was to investigate pumice as an inexpensive adsorbent for removal of methylene blue from...
